 No Substitute for a True Sound System, The Wireless Subwoofer Lacks Boom August 19, 2010

Get this if you're really tight on space and/or tough for you to run cables. Otherwise stick to a true sound system!

Just for background, I am not a TV or movie nut, but my old TV died so I ran out and bought a 46" Insignia TV (very cool by the way.) The Samsung soundbar really made the sound come alive. Also the setup was totally simple. I didn't even bother mounting the main speaker on the wall, but just set it in front of the TV and it looks and sounds great!

I own a lot of Samsung products and have yet to be disappointed. This unit is no exception. It greatly improves the sound output of my Samsung HDTV and is perfect for my small apartment. The reviewer who said to connect the system to the Blu-Ray player and choose bitstream audiophile was right. The sound output from doing it this way is so floor-shaking that I am afraid I am disturbing the neighbors. Oh well! The only thing I might ask for would be a way of compressing the dynamic range to keep the sound lively but under control. I found this unit on sale at Walmart for $229 and recommend you shop around.

This product is wonderful, ok its not 5.1 but if you want an enhanced sound then this is AMAZING.
I really can't believe we have waited so long to get one. It really puts the TV speakers to shame.
You must buy this if you want a great sound and ease of use. (The wireless bass is just fab).
Enjoy....we really do, its like I said AMAZING!!!!

This sound bar is great for any bedroom or small room. We purchased the sound bar to get better sound quality out of our movies in our bedroom. We were impressed with how great the sound was and the installation was easy and took less than 5 minutes. The wireless sub-woofer can be placed anywhere in the room. I would recommend this to anyone looking for great sound without having to run wires and mount speakers.
