Great product! September 7, 2010 Jcalifornia The product was what I expect! Plays almost every types of files...including any types of Dvix.
Quit Working August 16, 2010 L. Kuhman (Columbus, OH) Was ok first few months, then stated having trouble with commands. Quit working completely just after warranty expired. When a disc was inserted a "no disc" message would appear after about a minute. Paid a premium price new expecting the dvd player to last longer. At current used prices it is probably ok.
great feature list (USB port divx support up convert)and prices have dropped August 12, 2010 J.G. amazon addict in phx. (phoenix) For those that still want/need a basic dvd player but watch a lot of internet content this is the unit for you. It has support for divx files on both dvd cd discs as well as through the usb port. I have plugged in a 16gb usb drive and it has no problem recognizing it. So if your tv doesnt have internet connectivity dont worry about it. Though you cant stream the footage you an defnitley play whatever you download. DVD's look just fine too. I have it connected to a 720p tv via hdmi cable and remote rather simple to use as well. Only complain is no screensaver but it doesnt seem that common these days.
it's been a year and so far, so good August 4, 2010 DeeMan (Oxford, MI) I wanted a reliable DVD player since mine kept breaking - read errors, tray errors, you name it. This one has held up well for almost a year - with 2-5 times a month usage. It's a bit slow to turn on, eject the tray etc which gets kind of annoying but overall I would buy this again.
dvd player August 4, 2010 lou g this unit will play almost every dvd and media file under the sun. just download avi or divx onto a thumb drive and you can have hours of programs to watch. this is the player for people who like to make their own dvds and enjoy downloading media files. if you are building a home media center this is the only player you need.
